Shock rocker Alice Cooper designed a surprise appearance like a guest performer in the "Rock of Ages" musical working in london.
The 64-year-old joined the cast from the West End musical to do his classic hit "School's Out"-marking the anniversary from the track hitting No.
The audience members appeared delighted, shouting, dancing and singing together with him. People who hope to catch him again is going to be disappointed, though. He explained the appearance would be a one-off.
As far as musicals show go, "Rock of Ages" seemed a great fit for Cooper. The show, that was recently adapted for that big screen with Tom Cruise, is all about an aspiring rock star featuring classic rocks hits from bands including Bon Jovi, Journey and Poison.
"The songs they are playing-everybody knows every word of each and every song," Cooper noted within an interview using the Associated Press in front of the show.
Younger crowd talked about the way it felt to crash a musical.
"It's different since it is not my show which means you do seem like a bit of an intruder, but simultaneously it complements the show a lot," he explained.
Alice Cooper also reflected around the enduring interest in "School's Out," which first was a success working in london despite-or because of-calls to ban his group's concerts because of their shocking theatrics inspired by horror movies.
realize it was going to possess the longevity, it had been going to be the national anthem. You do not think anybody does. you believe when Slade wrote 'Merry Christmas Everyone' they did not know that which was going to be the personification from the Christmas song, or once the Who wrote 'My Generation,' every generation would connect with those lyrics. You believe that's what happened with 'School's Out.'"
