'Young Avengers' Returns Under Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie

Marvel have finally announced that, yes, they'll be publishing a new amount of Young Avengers this January, in the creative team of Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, and Matt Wilson.

Revamping they somewhat, this new amount of the title might find Kid Loki form a brand new team made up of Wiccan, Hulkling, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, and Ms America Chavez.

Don't fear, Patriot fans, I’ve already examined on him - he's apparently due to appear ‘somewhere else’ throughout the start of Marvel Now, and that's why he isn’t on the team. Fans of Speed… I am unable to help. I’m sure he’s available somewhere.

The book appears to be more of an open-world approach than before, with Gillen offering the team may well wind up wandering over to corners from the Marvel Universe where Generation Hope or Runaways are (simply to name two examples) sooner or later. The team seem prone to switch members when needed, depending on requirements.

This form of Marvel Boy will be more like he was when Grant Morrison created him, and fewer like the ‘Protector’ thing Brian Michael Bendis gave him.

The very first arc will see Wiccan make a terrible mess of products, no change there, which drags many other members of the group into his circle because they try to put out the fireplace. Hulkling will try to help, Loki will attempt to help Hulkling, and America Chavez will attempt to stop everybody from hearing Loki.

Typically the Young Avengers have been alligned to a particular person in the Avengers - instead of Scarlet Witch, Gillen says that Wiccan would be the Hank Pym of the group, which appears like a fun move. Also, the majority of the team will get redesigns from McKelvie.
