Harry Potter's David Thewlis Joins The Cast Of Red 2


Many fans may have heard David Thewlis as Remus Lupin in the "Harry Potter" series, but the English actor would be the Frog. Thewlis is joining the all-star cast from the "Red" sequel as a dealer of knowledge.

"Timeline" will be a newcomer to director Robert Schwentke's "Red 2" filmThe Summit/Lionsgate sequel will feature the return of Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Mary-Louise Parker, who'll all be reprising their roles in the successful 2010 film.

Thewlis will have an information dealer who earned the nickname The Frog after poisoning the Kremlin’s water supply by having an Amazonian frog.

"Red," which means Retired: Extremely Dangerous, followed Frank Moses (Willis) who's forced out of retirement following a he takes out a success squad which was delivered to his house. Seniors cast are reunited top level assassins and former government agents throughout the world.

The sequel adds Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung-hun Lee, Neal McDonough and Anthony Hopkins. The "Red" team is going to be battling new enemies in Europe and looking out for a weapon of mass destruction.

Thewlis played Lupin, who battles the curse to be a werewolf, first appears around the "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" because the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Lupin remains a key player within the "Order of the Phoenix" through to the final outcome of the "Harry Potter" series.

"Red 2" is placed to arrive in theaters on August 2, 2013 with production set to do this fall in Montreal.
